ERP Market France still increasing

December 2011

Markess a statistic company with focus on IT announced in a new study interesting figures. 34 % of french companies are using an ERP solution growing in 2012-2013 up to 38 %. Most of the increase is driven by small 20-249 employees) and midsized companies (250 - 5000 employees).

Komplementary products around ERP like CRM, BI, DMS ... are expected to increase 20 % per year in 2012/2013.

ITC in France - Strongest in Europe

Based on a study of Forester Reserach there is a strong increase in the French IT market. In 2011 there was a growth of 11.5 % in total of the ITC market up to 2.048 Mrd €. The software part increases by 11,9 %. In 2012 there is still a growth of 5.5 % estimated by Forester.

Strong BI Market in France

the well known market research company PAC announces in their new study about French IT Market the strong and continuing increase of need for BI (Business Intelligence) solutions. The total market will reach the 2 Mrd € target in 2011. An increase of 5 % during the next years to 2014 is expected by PAC. 

Italy: also interesting from the economic point of view

Similar to other markets, the Italian market suffered from the problems in the years 2008/2009. Growth dropped to - 5 %. But already in 2010 the market performance is significantly more positive with a growth of 1.2 %. Thanks to its diversification and strong integration in Europe, Italy has been able to acquit itself well. 43.7 % of goods and service are sold to countries in the EU. Furthermore Italy is one of the most important commercial partners of Germany: 16.7 % of the total imports come from Germany, which is the largest single value among the supplying countries. Turkey leads economic growth

May 2011

The Turkish economy has shown top-speed growth compared with the other national economies in the world in the first half year of 2010. According to the latest prognoses a growth of 7.8 % in comparison to the average 2.3 % in Europe is expected (source: IWF).
IT expenditures even present an average growth of more than 12 %. In the more difficult years of 2009/2010 the growth of IT expenditures still reached more than 7 % (source: EITO). More...

France: Interesting market for IT and telecommunication companies

Considering the ranking of the 27 EU-countries in respect of expenses for ICT, France finds itself in the 3rd place behind Germany and the UK. A concentration in single regions facilitates the market management, and German companies in the sector have already been successful with partners on the spot.
The French language is important for the market; therefore it is the common way to avoid national “barriers” by having partners in France. Asian ICT market – market information - exploration

October 2010

Currently IIC is actively exploring the Asian market on its activities. Economic growth for 2010 is now increasing enormously after the fall due to the economic crisis. Looking at the Malaysian and Indonesian markets, there is actually a growth of 5 to 6 %. But the region on which IIC focuses most is Singapore with a growth of 13 to 15 % (source: Austrian Chamber of Commerce). Thanks to the economic development in Singapore we expect good growth opportunities for IT and communication companies from Europe in this market, but also beyond (Singapore being a gateway to other Asian markets).

BI Market in France

July 2010

The new figures (Q4/2009) announced by Forester Research are giving an interesting view on the BI (Business Intelligence) in total and specific for France.

They asked companies in North America and Europe with the focus on information technology. The result can be read in details at Forester Research. For us of interest is that the total market in this regions increases by more than 10 %  up to 8 bill US $. Based on the asked companies in North America and Europe 54 % of them are still using or are in implementation of an BI-Solution. In France there are only 27 % in this stage.

Over all 18 %  are planing to invest in Dashboard solutions and 12 % want to invest in Reporting solutions.

As one result: There is a big need for BI and especially in France the accumulated needs are high.

Germany - Economic Growth on a high level

Based on an international comparison Germany is on place 1 of the ranking based on IT Investments in the 27 countries of the European Union (EU-27).
An actual study of Gardner is expecting an increase of the investments in software in Germany of 6.4 % (2009 up to 2010) up to 14.9 bn €. Corresponding to this is the growth if the World Market with an increase of 5.4 % up to 232 bn US $. This development is also taking effect in employees. The Frauenhofer Institute for System and Innovationresearch (ISI) in Karlsruhe, Germany, is calculating with more than 400.000 new jobs in the german IT industry during the next 20 years.

Italian ICT Market

April 2010

Following the analysis of compuBase there are more than 37000 players in the ICT market in Italy. In details are there around 1200 software publisher and 4200 B2B reseller in the italian market. The strongest region based in ICT activities is Lombardy. Followed by Emilia Romagna, Lazio, Veneto and Piedmont.

A total invest of around 66 billion € in the ICT business is annouced by Assinform (ASSOCIAZIONE PER L'INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, Italy) with a small decrease in 2009.

Italy is one of the big 5 markets in Europe with important potential.
